We believe that it is important to assist and invest in our local non-profit groups that reach out to all types of people in Eastern Iowa. Providing excellent health care on the Web is our passion and therefore Geonetric gives back to those organizations that are dedicated to passionately providing care to others. Geonetric Gives By:Charity Euchre Tournaments We get together every other month to play a few hands of this exhilarating game. Rapids AIDS Project - American Red Cross Grant Wood Area Chapter The Rapids AIDS Project (RAP) has been part of the American Red Cross Grant Wood Area Chapter since 1986. RAP is dedicated to fighting the spread of HIV and AIDS through education efforts, and offers presentations to Cedar Rapids and surrounding communities to inform the community on HIV/AIDS. RAP also trains high school students as peer educators, and sends these students to various schools and meetings in the community to educate other young people about HIV and AIDS.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Lunch Buddy Program Hot lunch...white or chocolate milk...seconds....playing outside for recess... Sound like good times gone by? Not for some of our employees. Geonetric is pleased to have staff members who spend time each week with students that are part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Lunch Buddy Program. Our Lunch Buddy goes to Taylor or Polk Elementary Schools in Cedar Rapids, IA and spends the lunch and recess hour with a student. We are proud to be a part of this outreach program that allows adult mentors to spend time with young people of our community in building and fostering positive relationships. |
